Able to support up to 900 horsepower, the DFC Diesel Remanufactured Tow/Haul HD Series Long Block Crate Engine is a superior quality engine replacement for your 2003-2004 Dodge 5.9L Cummins (Manual & Automatic). To ensure that every engine is built to the same high quality standards, DFC uses only the best cores and rejects components that require considerable "restoring". As a result, you get a reliable and durable engine that is guaranteed to perform. Machined using advanced Rottler machining equipment, you can be sure your engine is built to tolerances that exceed the factory specifications for an efficient and long lasting engine! Remanufactured with name brand parts, the Tow/Haul Series is designed for drivers that need additional power to haul and tow heavy loads.

Engine Remanufacturing
DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.

Engine Upgrades
Each 5.9L Cummins Tow/Haul HD Series engine comes standard with an O-ringed cylinder head. The Tow/Haul HD Series engine features improved gasket sealing methods in common leakage areas and has a multi-layer steel head gasket. Featuring ARP series 2000 head studs, the Tow/Haul Series Long Block includes a Colt Cams stage 3 camshaft or Hamilton Cams 178-208 (depending on availability). Hamilton Cams 103lb HD valve springs, DFC HD push rods, and a bolt in rear aluminum freeze plug are all included with the Tow/Haul HD Series. For extra strength, the Tow/Haul HD Series has ceramic coated piston crowns and dry film coated skirts in addition to Wagler connecting rods. The Tow/Haul HD Series also features a Fluidamper, HD Flexplate, and balanced rotating assembly.

Cylinder Head
DFC replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. Instead of just a re-grinding old valves, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature, cracking giving you a more durable cylinder head.

The DFC Long Block has all rockers and pushrods preset to factory specifications and includes a remanufactured cylinder head, internal components, front & rear cover, oil pan, and the complete gasket kit for long block installation.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items, Sold Separately):
Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher mileage engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K miles, mandatory if shaft play is present, or if engine was dusted.
Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K miles. 
Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion, boilover, and all-around a better cooling system performance.
