  • Improve the towing and hauling abilities of your 2004.5-2007 Dodge 5.9L Cummins (Automatic & Manual) when you install the DFC Diesel Remanufactured Tow/Haul Series Long Block Crate Engine with supporting modifications. The Tow/Haul Series can support up to 700 horsepower and is remanufactured to the most strict guidelines. Featuring crucial upgrades, the Tow/Haul Series allows you to build for high performance without having to worry about reliability. Each DFC Engine is machined using advanced Rottler machining equipment and is built to tolerances that are more precise than the factory specifications. 

    Engine Remanufacturing
    DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.

    Engine Upgrades
    Each 5.9L Cummins Tow/Haul Series engine comes standard with an O-ringed cylinder head. The Tow/Haul Series engine features improved gasket sealing methods in common leakage areas and prevents piston failures caused by faulty injectors with increased piston cooling. Ceramic coated piston crowns and dry film coated skirts reduce piston wear and ensures the Tow/Haul Series sustains it's high level of perfromance. Featuring ARP series 2000 head studs, the Tow/Haul Series includes either the Colt Cams stage 3 camshaft or the Hamilton Cams 178-208 for added strength. Additional upgrades to the Tow/Haul HD Series include Hamilton Cams 103lb HD valve springs, DFC HD push rods, and a bolt in rear aluminum freeze plug. 

    Cylinder Head
    DFC replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. Instead of just re-grinding old valves, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

    DFC engines are remanufactured by diesel enthusiasts and are built for diesel enthusiasts. To show their pride, DFC offers one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry. Each DFC Tow/Haul Series Long Block Engine comes standard with a 5-year, 100,000 mile warranty.

    The DFC Long Block has all rockers and pushrods preset to factory specifications and includes a remanufactured cylinder head, internal components, front & rear cover, oil pan, and the complete gasket kit for long block installation.

    New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items - Sold Separately):
    Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
    Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
    Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.
    Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K. 
    Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover. 

    Application Note:
    The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build. Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested. DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process and backs their engines with an industry-leading 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.

    Note: $500 Crate charge is included in core charge total. Engine shipping crate must be returned with core engine to receive full core credit.
