Safe Load BW Insert Gooseneck
WSBW
Regular price $249.99 Save $-249.99Tongue weight scale built into the ball mount platform helps you balance your trailer
The Safe Load BW Insert Gooseneck Ball is a 2-5/16” tow ball made of high-strength stainless steel with a single gauge that is compatible with the B&W Turnover Gooseneck Hitch.
The Safe Load BW Insert Gooseneck is the one and only gooseneck hitch with a built-in scale that signals you to adjust your load before you hit the road, resulting in a much safer and enjoyable towing experience. Before this gooseneck hitch, gauging your trailer’s tongue weight or pin load weight was a hassle. You had to rely on inefficient bathroom scales, make a trip to the weigh station, or purchase a separate tongue weight scale. But with the Weigh Safe’s built-in scale, measuring your tongue weight is as easy as coupling your trailer to your gooseneck hitch. Simply hook-up your trailer to the Safe Load BW Insert Gooseneck just as you would any other gooseneck hitch. The weight of your trailer will push down on the gooseneck ball, which in turn pushes down on an internal hydraulic piston that sits on a bed of oil. When the piston drops into the oil, the pressure reading is sent out to the scale.
What is tongue weight and why is it important? Tongue weight (TW) or pin load weight refers to the weight that the fully loaded trailer exerts downward on the back axle of the tow vehicle. Tongue weight is typically 15 percent – and should not exceed 25 percent – of your gross trailer weight. For example, a 10,000-lb trailer should have a tongue weight between 1,500 lbs and 2,500 lbs. You can adjust the tongue weight of your trailer by removing or adding cargo, or redistributing the load on the trailer. The tongue weight should not exceed the capacity of your tow vehicle, your hitch, or any of your towing components.

2″ Shaft – Up to 15,000 lbs
2.5″ Shaft – Up to 20,000 lbs
A built-in scale to measure both tongue weight to ensure 10-15% of GTW and distributed tongue weight to truly give you a distributed towing system.
A live adjustment system built into the head assembly with an internal pivot point that eliminates the need to remove the head assembly for re-adjustment resulting in a much easier and quicker installation, anytime adjustment, not to mention it saves a significant amount of time.
Easy height adjustment using our dual pin key lock assembly providing safety from theft and ease with 1” hole increments to provide more accurate height adjustment compared to competitors with 1.75” hole increments.
An extended sleek design that generally gives you the ability to lower your tailgate or open your liftgate without the trailer tongue/jack interfering.
Truly distributes the tongue weight of the trailer between the back axle of the tow vehicle, and the axle(s) of the trailer and returns the lost weight off the front axle to provide the customer a safer and smoother ride.
Provides anti-sway friction areas that help to reduce sway caused by wind or passing vehicles. The anti-sway friction areas reside in the sway bar connection points in the head assembly and the trailer bracket connection points. The hitch head assembly, spring arms and trailer brackets are all vital components to aid in reducing trailer sway.
DTW (Distributed Tongue Weight) tool application for smartphones (android and IOS) or available on our website to set up the highly accurate distributed system by outputting a DTW that the Weigh Safe gauge on the hitch will read when distributed correctly.
Instead of one hitch for one specific tow vehicle and trailer, it’s now ONE HITCH FOR ALL tow vehicles and trailers. The True Tow™ Weight Distribution Hitch can be easily interchanged between different tow vehicles and trailers so you can put trailer brackets on as many trailers as you want!
Weigh Safe Universal Tow Ball
WSUN-2
Regular price $99.99 Save $-99.99This Weigh Safe hitch ball has an easy-to-use, built-in scale that measures your trailer’s tongue weight every time you tow. If the scale indicates that your tongue weight is too low or too high, you can adjust it before you head out so that you can complete your journey with peace of mind, knowing that your setup is safe. And towing trailers with different coupler sizes is a breeze thanks to the magnetic, clamp-on 2-5/16″ ball adapter. Stainless steel construction resists rust and corrosion.
Pressure on the ball sends a reading to the built-in scale that measures tongue weight (lbs.)
GMC guidelines for proper towing states tongue weight should be no less than 10 percent of gross trailer weight (GTW) and no more than 15 percent. For example, tongue weight for a 10,000 pound trailer should be no less than 1000lbs. and no more than 1500lbs.
(Note: Weigh Safe max tongue weight is 1500lbs. Do not initiate tow if your reading is in the red zone)
The tongue weight is the static force the trailer tongue exerts on the hitch/tow ball. Proper trailer tongue weight improves the vehicle and trailer towing experience by improving performance. Not enough tongue weight or force on the hitch/tow ball causes an increase in trailer sway from side to side, making it difficult to control. Conversely, too much tongue weight or force on the hitch/tow ball could overload the rear tires of the towing vehicle, pushing the rear end of the vehicle around. This could also negatively affect the vehicle handling. Performance is impaired as you might not be able to go around corners and curves properly, and your vehicle may not stop quickly enough when you press the brake pedal.
The Weigh Safe Drop Hitch effectively measures the tongue weight of your towing load, improving the vehicle tow load balance and performance.

Regular price $319.00 Save $-319.00The Weigh Safe Drop Hitch is the one and only trailer hitch with a built-in scale that signals you to adjust your load before you hit the road, resulting in a much safer and enjoyable towing experience. Before this ball mount, gauging your trailer’s tongue weight was a hassle. You had to rely on inefficient bathroom scales, make a trip to the weigh station, or purchase a separate tongue weight scale. But with the Weigh Safe’s built-in scale, measuring your tongue weight is as easy as coupling your trailer to your ball mount. Simply hook-up your trailer to the Weigh Safe ball mount just as you would any other ball mount. Tongue weight (TW) refers to the weight that the fully loaded trailer exerts downward on the hitch ball of the tow vehicle. Tongue weight is typically 10 percent – and should not exceed 15 percent – of your gross trailer weight. For example, a 10,000-lb trailer should have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. You can adjust the tongue weight of your trailer by removing or adding cargo, or redistributing the load on the trailer. The tongue weight should not exceed the capacity of your tow vehicle, your hitch, or any of your towing components.
Simply put, too little tongue weight can cause trailer sway and too much tongue weight can cause the tow vehicle to perform poorly. You may have difficulty steering, gaining traction, or braking when driving a setup that has too much weight pushing down on the rear of the vehicle. Ultimately, towing with an improper tongue weight can cause you to lose control of your vehicle or cause your trailer to separate from the vehicle.
